My approach to counseling is driven by respect, openness, and collaboration. I work to build a relationship that cultivates insight and growth, working together to find the parts of you that are challenging, confusing, or frustrating.
I practice counseling from a client-centered perspective that considers the client to be the expert in their own life.
I find I connect well with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and identity/life transitions. I also enjoy working with individuals struggling with relationships due to differences in politics and/or religion.
I employ different aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Boise State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses and am a National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors.
